We are one of only a few clubs in the Lower Mainland with the facilities to play Short Mat. The game uses the same principles as outdoor lawn bowls, even down to using regular-size bowls, but the skillsets are slightly different.  There are  a number of videos on the web but the best way to find out about it is to come along and try it - it's a lot of fun and there is plenty of camaraderie. Come on, give it a go!
