The Australian Pairs, which was instituted in 1987, is the only truly Gender Neutral (men, women or mixed teams allowed) in the entire V&D calendar and some of the best bowlers as well as some up-and-comers make this event a must in their season.
The event was renamed while Tony was alive in recognition of his many contributions to the club. Tony served many roles on the executive and was president several times. His outstanding contributions to the club, regional and provincial, organizations and bowls in general won him recognition and awards. Tony was a mainstay of the club until his death in 2018.
The format is 2-4-2 pairs: on alternate ends one team member rolls the first two and the last two bowls and their partner rolls the middle four. On the next end the roles are reversed. So each player gets to play lead and skip.
Entry
The entry fee is $20 per player. Payment can be made by cheque or e-transfer. For either method, please first check these notes on payment.

Registration is by mail, email or phone. Payment and the entry form are to be received by the convener within 2 weeks of requesting registration.

The entry fee will not be refunded if a team withdraws within 7 days of the tournament date. There will be no refund if a team does not show up on the day. If cancellation is due to bad weather or other reasons before the tournament starts, the fee will be refunded.
